Lenovo is bringing back Motorola’s historic ‘Hello Moto’ as part of its new boot animation.

Ever since Lenovo acquired Motorola back in 2014 for $2.9 billion. The company has been doing everything in its power to integrate the unit within Lenovo’s own mobile division and has set out to rebrand Motorola.

Lenovo announced plans to get rid of the Motorola name and simply use the Moto branding from now on, so all marketing efforts would concentrate on the Moto name and iconic batwing logo.

With the announcement of the Moto G4 and Moto Z lines, the company did keep its promise when it came to using the Moto name, but the iconic batwing logo didn’t appear to be as prominent as was expected.

The new voice behind the "Hello Moto" phrase speaks with a Chinese accent. At the end of the boot animation, the iconic Motorola batwing logo is literally punched out of the picture and replaced with Lenovo's own logo.

Lenovo brand Moto is launching Moto Z and Moto Z plus in India on the 4th of October. The company wants to build the brand around the new logo language and you may see excessive use of the #hellomoto branding hashtag.
