Google Chrome Beta latest update for Android will allow users to play YouTube videos in the background. The new Chrome beta version is packed with two features - Playing Videos in the background and redesigned new tab page.
YouTube Red has this feature to play videos in the background on Android. But it's a paid version. Common YouTube users don’t' use the paid version. Google Chrome Beta Version 54 has new features for android YouTube users.
Google released version 53 of its Chrome browser a few days ago for Windows, Mac and Linux. Google Chrome Beta for Android version 54 is now available for Android users. This new feature works only on the mobile web browser not on YouTube App.

In Google Chrome Beta for Android, if you’re playing a video in a tab and then leave Chrome, you’ll see a little notification showing the video you were watching. It will automatically pause. You can tap play to begin playing it again. This will work with the browser only though (not the YouTube app). Audio streams can also play in the background, but they won’t be paused when you leave Chrome or switch screens.
Before you install Chrome Beta for Android, keep in mind that Google still updating the browser to make it more user friendly.
