Watch out Snapchat and Instagram! Apple is after you.

Bloomberg has reported last week that Apple is working and preparing to come up with a release of video-sharing app in 2017 with similar features like Snapchat and Instagram. It will allow apple users to record video, play with it using filters and drawings and share it on different social media. 

Speed with ease is expected to be the main feature of this app. User will be allowed to shoot, edit and share in less than a minute using single hand. Square video footage will also be possible like in Instagram.

Initially independent app is expected to perform all these functions but in future it is more likely to be integrated with its camera app.

This value addition may be looked at as revenue generation tactic by giving a boost to iPhone sales in future as social media is the most happening thing of the day. 

Apple claims that it just wants to offer its customers more ways to edit and share their videos over other social platforms. 

Apple’s past experience with social media hasn’t been so pleasant when it tried to launch ‘Ping’ in 2010, its music-based social network. It was pulled out in 2012.

But this time Apple seems to be more cautious to avoid repetition of past experiences.
