Dumping Audio Jack may annoy iPhone’s Headphone Fans

Changes are always welcomed with resistance.

Since few months it’s being rumored that Apple is expected to do away with 3.5 mm audio jack in its upcoming model iPhone 7. But Apple cofounder Steve Wozniak has recently commented that doing away with headphone jack might agitate lot of users who have already invested in technology which uses the audio jack.

On the contrary leaving audio jack behind is also being considered as laying road for a new product called Bluetooth ear buds on a very low powered radio chip which is claimed to be developed exclusively by Apple however such technology already exists.

Apart from Bluetooth wireless experience other option could be to connect headphones to phone charging connector. Another alternative would be to offer a dongle that would plug into the Connector and add a 3.5 mm jack to the iPhone.  

However the audio jack’s demise is still not confirmed but rumors are very strong.

If at all Apple dumps the headphone jack, it won’t be the initiator in this direction. Lenovo has already taken this step in its flagship Moto Z series earlier this year and its USP for doing so was that it can make phones thinner.
