Microsoft unveiled its revamped and modernized Paint app for Windows 10 today.

The new feature will be a direct rival to the Amazon-owned Twitch platform, which also now enables users to live-stream their games online as they play them and has more than 100 million site visitors each month.

Microsoft has also launched an online community, alongside the Paint 3D app. It allows Paint users to export their creations and share them with the community, or download 3D objects that others have created.

Features

• Sketch a flat drawing with the inflate tool and watch it instantly balloon into a puffy, 3D object.
• Personalized stickers! Stick pictures of your dog, a rainbow, or your friends' faces right onto your 3D models.
• Add some texture. Use the sticker tool to try out hardwood, soft grass or other textures you have saved on your PC.
• More realistic tools, including a spray can, oil brush, and calligraphy pen. 

Paint 3D designed to make 3D object creation easy across devices with a regular mouse and keyboard, touchscreens, and stylus input. Microsoft is now letting Windows Insiders test out an early version of Paint 3D.

 

Microsoft has published Paint 3D in the Windows Store to download and install, but it will require the Windows 10 Creators Update, which is available to insiders.
