Samsung has been announced, its Galaxy S8, and the latest report coming in suggesting that the tech giant has already started work on the software of its upcoming flagship.

Earlier, Samsung reported on acquiring Viv Labs, and to bring you up to speed, it was the company that had worked previously on developing Siri. Perhaps the new ROM is being tested out in order to make adjustments to additional voice commands.

Additionally, if the iris scanner made its way to Galaxy Note 7, then it is possible that the security feature makes its way to the upcoming Galaxy S8, so the new ROM could also be tested out in order to make adjustments to that front as well.

According to rumors, there are going to be two Galaxy S8 variants, and both of them are going to feature different screen sizes and resolutions. The small version will have a screen size of 5.1 inches and a 1440p QHD Super AMOLED display that has been used on the company’s previous generation lineup of handsets.

As for the 5.5-inch model, this has been rumored to sport a 4K display, meaning that even if it packs a larger battery capacity, the display will be chewing up battery life, unless of course. Adaptive Display technology will force the display to only render 4K content in necessary situations.

As for the hardware, Galaxy S8 is no doubt going to be Daydream compatible because it will feature either a Snapdragon 830 or Exynos 8895.
