Apple soon to launch a new series of educational sessions at 495 stores across the world, covering coding, media, and art and design to help people get more from their Apple hardware.
Angela Ahrendts Apple’s senior vice-president of Retail, said, ‘Today at Apple’ is one of the ways we are evolving our experience to better serve local customers and entrepreneurs. We’re creating a modern-day town square, where everyone is welcome in a space where the best of Apple comes together to connect with one another, discover a new passion, or take their skill to the next level.
Many of Apple’s sessions were focused on how to use its apps and devices, the expanded lineup of now over 60 programs will reach into other, more advanced topics aimed to attract creatives and youth to the stores, with specific focuses on things like art, design, music, and photography.

Apple will have special educational sessions for families and educators. A program for educators, called Teacher Tuesdays, will also become available next month, which will give teachers ideas about how they can use Apple technology in the classroom for things like coding in Apple’s programming language Swift.
Apple has sessions for individuals as well, which will help participants capture action on video, while Sketch walks will focus on drawings, watercolor, and brush techniques. The Kids Hour will include coding with Sphero robots, and using GarageBand and iMovies.
Ahrendts added, Apple's other design updates, such as the new Genius Grove at the San Francisco store, a tree-lined version of the Genius Bar. She said, the goal is for Apple stores to become a social gathering spot like Starbucks.
