The fingerprint-based security systems on phones and other electronic devices may be more possibilities of attacking a previously thought.

Synthetic partial prints are better in matching, making them more likely to fool biometric security systems than real partial fingerprints. By using digitally simulated MasterPrints, they have matching between 26 and 65 percent of users, depending on how many partial fingerprint impressions were stored for each user and assuming a maximum number of five attempts per authentication.
The more partial finger prints are stored in smartphone for authentication is in higher risk of security attacks and these makes an easy way to make a Master print and hack the devices.
