Snapchat is putting users' friends stories back where they came from. Snapchat is fighting back against Instagram Stories. To make Snapchat more “friends first,” its moving friends’ Stories above Discover where they used to be to make sure you don’t miss people you care about.

Snapchat Auto-advance will be replaced with Story Playlist, a new feature that lets you tap the thumbnails next to multiple Stories you want to load, then watch them all back-to-back by hitting the big “play” button at the bottom

Tap on the Story thumbnail to the left of your friend’s name to add their Story to your playlist. Hit the play button at the bottom of the screen to watch!

 

 

Story Playlist is an easy way to select the Stories you want to watch and seamlessly view them full screen in the order you selected them.

Starting today for select Snapchatters in our Android community and rolling out soon across all Android and iOS, the Auto Advance feature will be removed to give you control of your Story viewing experience once again. Simply tap on a Story to view it. We won’t automatically advance you to the next Story in recent updates, Snapchat wrote in a blog post.

The updates are rolling out to some Android users today and all iOS and Android users soon.
