Amazon Music Unlimited is distinct from the company's Prime-only limited music library. Amazon Music Unlimited offers ‘tens of millions of songs’ from major and indie labels. The standard individual plan costs $9.99 a month; it’s discounted to $7.99 a month or $79 a year for Prime members.

  • ·         Echo-only: $4/month for one Echo, Dot or Tap
  • ·         Full access with Prime: $8/month for other devices, like an iPhone, if you have Prime
  • ·         Everyone else: $10/month (like Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, etc.)
  • ·         Family plan: $15/month for six people “coming this year”

Amazon Music Unlimited will compete with Spotify and Apple Music. The company will also launch its Echo-based music service, which will cost $5 a month, within the next few weeks, according to a source.

Amazon Prime members could access over two million songs, as well as over a thousand playlists and personalized stations. A family plan, which will become available later this year, grants up to six people access to the service for $14.99 a month or $149 a year.

Amazon says its library includes music from Sony, Universal, and Warner, as well as thousands of indie labels, with thousands of curated playlists and personalized stations also included.
